Frontwork brings back the Migros sales bus

In 1925, Gottlieb Duttweiler took to the streets with it; now it’s making a comeback: the legendary Migros sales van brings a touch of nostalgia with it on its return. Frontwork has restored it to working order.

For many people back then, the trolley was a meeting place with social significance. Children would run after the bus, old people would chat there and the sales staff still knew every customer personally - encounters that led to deep friendships. In 2010, Frontwork got the original Migros sales bus ready to go for the first time to offer open-air visitors added value. Festival-goers could buy all the essentials they had forgotten at home on the bus: from sleeping bags and toothpaste to condoms, parasols and umbrellas, apples, mustard and biscuits.

To mark the 75th anniversary of the Migros Cooperative Zurich, Frontwork has refurbished another vehicle. The renovation specialists took their cue from the original design, which has long since been discontinued, and faithfully recreated the bus using old layouts. Frontwork also worked on the interior of the bus, removing rust from the old grille baskets and replacing the FL lighting with modern LED tubes. Complete cleaning included.
Today, the cult bus is freshly painted, newly wrapped and ready for the road again.
