Ferris Bühler brought Las Vegas to Zurich
Ferris Bühler organized the media and VIP event «One Night in Las Vegas» over the weekend for the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) and Edelweiss.
Around 200 invited personalities from the travel industry and showbiz came to Zurich's Aura to get to know Las Vegas and the Edelweiss direct connection better, according to a statement on Thursday. The well-known silhouette of the glittering metropolis was brought to life in Zurich with 360-degree animations. In addition to showgirls and various surprises, Las Vegas show star Frankie Moreno offered guests an exclusive live concert.
In the run-up to the event, the agency organized a social media challenge: Via classic media and online, the population was invited to a big treasure hunt in downtown Zurich. More than a hundred people braved the freezing cold and searched for mini Las Vegas location signs, according to a statement. Despite sub-zero temperatures, the participants climbed into fountains, crawled into bushes, searched through trash cans and climbed onto roofs in order to win free flights to Las Vegas and hotel vouchers.
Since Edelweiss' first flight to Las Vegas in May 2014, Ferris Bühler has regularly implemented PR activities in Switzerland and the USA to place the destination in a wide variety of media.
