Facing the branding sky

Originally, consultants Lucius Leonhardt and designer Raphael Baumann were to become partners in the Zurich CD/CI agency Külling Partner Identity, but no satisfactory solution could be found with the existing partners. This prompted the two management members to leave the agency. "We had already been toying with the idea of setting up our own business and implementing our own vision of an agency," says Leonhardt. Immediately after leaving, they founded Facing Ltd in Zurich, an agency for the development and visual implementation of brand awareness concepts. Their first client was no less a project than the Coop corporate branding, for which they had been the main managers at Külling Partner Identity from the outset. In addition to the Basel-based retail giant, the three-person agency's portfolio also includes NZZ, KPMG Fides Management and the Zurich Opera House. (dz)
