Specialist event for the target group of connoisseurs
People have been talking about the "silver surfers" for some time now. In the meantime, a few particularly active media people - such as Kurt Aeschbacher - have also reached this "best age". Together with Schoscho Rufener, the TV presenter is hosting a mature specialist event on April 8.
Last September, Kurt Aeschbacher and Hans-Jürg Rufener founded 50plus together. The core of the young start-up is the 50plus magazine of the same name. The magazine has over 350,000 readers. 62 percent of them are aged 50 to 64. This target group is considered to be "quality-conscious, sporty, active" and attaches great importance to Swissness. And is also known to have high purchasing power. This is why these former senior citizens are often referred to not only as silver surfers, but also as golden agers. At the specialist event, Peter Gross, Professor of Sociology at the University of St. Gallen, wants to find out what this stage of life has to do with a "stroke of luck". Thomas Bürgi from the School of Business will present a study on how the 50-plus generation uses social media. Petra Dandl from Prosieben Sat.1 discusses with Aeschbi about Sat.1 Gold, "how a channel actively approaches the target group of 49- to 64-year-olds".
The afternoon event on Monday, April 8 starts at 2 p.m. and takes place in the Labor-Bar. Admission is free. You can register via 50plus-survey.ch.
