Facebook Studio Award for Jung von Matt/Limmat
The winners of the second Facebook Studio Awards have been announced. With Jung von Matt/Limmat, the German-speaking region is also represented among the gold winners.
The most successful campaigns this year were those that focused on creative storytelling and interactions with fans, according to a statement from Facebook. "The entries for the Facebook Studio Awards reflect the concentrated, global creativity of campaigns on Facebook. We see that more and more advertisers and agencies understand how to implement creative communications on Facebook for their target audiences. We are particularly pleased that Jung von Matt/Limmat is once again a winner from the umbrella region," says F. Scott Woods, Commercial Director Facebook Umbrella.
Compared to last year, not only has the quality of the entries improved significantly, but the award has also become much more international: This year, well over 1,000 campaigns were submitted from 59 countries. A total of 19 Facebook Studio Awards were presented, and there was once again a winning campaign from the German-speaking region: "A Little Village goes Global" by Jung von Matt/Limmat from Zurich won gold. The highest honor, the "Blue" Award, went to Draftfcb and 360i for the "Oreo Daily Twist" campaign for food manufacturer Mondelez International.
With the campaign "A Little Village goes Global", Jung von Matt/Limmat wanted to boost tourism in the small Swiss mountain village of Obermutten and emphasize the personal, individual (Werbewoche.ch reported). On the Facebook page, Obermutten promised that a picture of everyone who clicked "Like" would be printed out and pinned to the village bulletin board. Photos of the bulletin board were then posted back to Facebook - taking the little village around the world. Thanks to the campaign and the coverage it received, more than 60 million people around the world have heard about Obermutten.
This year, for the first time, the jury included a German member, Nils Döhring, Executive Creative Director at Jung von Matt.
