Eyeloveyou: Big fuss about new website

The historic Fauteuil small theater in Basel has launched a completely redesigned website created by the advertising agency Eyeloveyou. The new site puts the performance schedule front and center.

The Rasser theaters on Spalenberg in Basel (Theater Fauteuil, Tabourettli and Kaisersaal) are not only impressive for their events - the location itself makes up much of their magic. In one of the oldest buildings in Basel's city center, the theater is almost a museum. As the agency writes, visitors to the website should feel directly transported to this beautiful place - through a not quite everyday insight: Full-screen films run in the background, showing tracking shots through the theater, the make-up booth or even a stage set-up.

A theater's website is primarily about the program. The central component of the responsive website is therefore the program. It not only shows the current events, but can also be narrowed down by artist using filter navigation - for a better overview. Each detailed page of the events not only contains all the performance dates, but also large image galleries and teaser films that show visitors what they can expect.

To pick up on the red thread in the website, structural elements are kept in red - combined with plenty of white space for more clarity. All interactive elements are in light blue - a clear contrast to the dominant red. Large, clearly structured and colorful: the new website of Theater Fauteuil is designed for a broad target group, from young to old.
