FernUni Switzerland chooses Farner for strategic communication
Following an agency pitch, FernUni Schweiz has selected Farner to manage its communications activities.
The partnership comes at a strategically important stage on the path to future university status. The decision was based on Farner's integrated approach and the complementary skills within the group.
A multidisciplinary team for a 360° approach
In order to meet the ambitions of FernUni Switzerland, Farner has put together a tailor-made team - with specialists from several units of the agency network: Farner, Jim&Jim, Semsea and Blueglass. This collaboration enables unique expertise that covers all communication disciplines: strategy, public relations and media relations, creation, digital marketing, social media and performance marketing.
Digital campaigns at the heart of the strategy
There is a particular focus on digital campaigns to promote the degree programs, based on eye-catching formats and targeted messages. These campaigns, developed in close collaboration with the FernUni Schweiz teams, aim to highlight the flexibility of distance learning and the academic quality of the education and research programs.
"Supporting an institution like FernUni Schweiz requires a deep understanding of its challenges and the ability to combine different areas of expertise. Thanks to the multidisciplinary strength of Team Farner, we design strategies and campaigns that combine creativity, digital performance and institutional communication," emphasizes Didier Bonvin, Campaign Manager at the Farner agency.
A strategic partnership on the way to university accreditation
This partnership arises in a particularly strategic context. The aim of the Canton of Valais is to support FernUni Switzerland on its way to becoming a cantonal university under the name Uni Valais-Wallis, an autonomous public institution with an ambitious academic strategy.
"We are entering a crucial phase in our institutional development. We need to strengthen our visibility, enhance our reputation and raise awareness of our unique model of distance and part-time learning as we strive for accreditation as a university in 2027," explains Stéphane Pannatier, Administrative Director of FernUni Switzerland.
The combination of FernUni Switzerland's academic expertise and Farner's multidisciplinary skills will enable both institutions to jointly tackle the challenges of modern communication and position FernUni Switzerland as a leading player in the Swiss distance learning sector.
