Essence 15: The shortlist has been announced
For the first time, the Swiss industry association SGV, Schweizer Grafiker Verband, called for entries for the Essence Award and far more works were submitted than expected.
The high-caliber jury of experts, headed by SGV President Jürg Aemmer, had the challenging task of selecting the best works of contemporary Swiss graphic design from the many entries in the Design, Illustration, Motion and Interactive categories.
"I am surprised by the high quality and diversity of the submissions," said SGV President Jürg Aemmer in a press release.
At the award ceremony in Zurich on October 22, 2015, it will be announced which works will receive an Essence Award in gold, silver or bronze or which work will receive the coveted SGV Member Award. The complete Essence 15 shortlist is now available online at Essence.sgv.ch. On the same page you can register for the award ceremony on October 22 at the Cigarettenfabrik, Halle Sihlquai 268 in Zurich.

All Essence 15 shortlisted works will also be honored in a print publication, which will be available fresh from the press on the evening of the award ceremony.
