Renewal at the Werbeclub Ostschweiz
The Werbeclub Ostschweiz (WCO) has a new board team: President Pino Zünd is handing over his office to Roger Tinner after 17 years. Other new members of the board are Hanspeter Häne, Roland Köppel, Lea Hobi, Pascale Hoch and Katja Thürlemann.
A real era came to an end at the Annual General Meeting at the Balik salmon smokehouse in Ebersol: Pino Zünd, founder and owner of the Brandwork agency in Berneck, stepped down as President after 17 years. His achievements, in particular the organization of exciting events with top-class guests and the club's 40th anniversary last year, were deservedly acknowledged by Honorary President Peter Thoma. The members present also appointed Pino Zünd as Honorary President with applause.
Renewal and rejuvenation
Along with Pino Zünd, the previous Board members Irene Schoch, Gabriella Wiss and Erwin Feurer also stepped down after many years of commitment. With the new appointments, the Board has now also been rejuvenated and has a "fifty-fifty" composition with three women and three men - both of which are concerns of the new President Roger Tinner, founder and owner of alea iacta in St.Gallen. He is now supported in the management of the club by Lea Hobi (Ammarkt), Pascale Hoch (Kraftkom), Katja Thürlemann (Notenstein Privatbank) and the confirmed board members Hanspeter Häne (Publicitas) and Roland Köppel (Netz Werk).
The new Board of Directors has already discussed future priorities at its first meeting. After the summer break, it will present a new program and initial decisions to the more than 220 individual and corporate members. One of the declared aims of the new crew is to renew the club as a whole after the Board and thus also attract new members. The new president says: "We want to supplement the tried-and-tested with new ideas that will motivate the next generation of advertisers in particular to join."
