Scandal at Golf & Country

Special Interest: The golf season has barely gotten underway, and already sparks are flying.

Special Interest According to Werbewoche, Urs H. Dillier, former managing director of VIP Media Verlag (Golf & Country, Petri Heil, Kavallo) has resigned as managing director and shareholder with effect from May 30, 2003. His successor as Managing Director of the Scherzingen-based publishing house is Hans Jörg Dietiker, Editor-in-Chief of Petri Heil magazine. With Dillier's departure as a shareholder, VIP Media Verlag is now wholly owned by Hamburg-based publisher Alexandra Jahr. She previously held a stake of around 75 percent in the Swiss publishing house.
Dietiker justified Dillier's departure with the "financial development at VIP Media Verlag in recent years" and added: "Dillier was no longer able to meet his obligations as a shareholder."
