The marketing and content agency dropZone, based in Bolligen, has acquired Formend in its entirety. The signing of the purchase agreement on November 7, 2025 marks the start of a new chapter for both companies. The acquisition brings together two agencies that have made a name for themselves in different but complementary disciplines.

With the takeover, all customers and employees will move from Formend to dropZone. The team is therefore not only growing in terms of personnel, but above all in terms of expertise. The integration will take place gradually over the next six months. However, projects will remain stable for existing customers and will continue without interruption.

Campaign expertise meets creative precision

dropZone is known, among other things, for the Switzerland-wide placeB campaign "Space for almost everything". With its clear visual language, systematic box concept and consistent format adaptability, the campaign set new standards in the self-storage market. Not only are the idea, concept and planning created in-house, but the image and video content is also produced internally.

Formend, on the other hand, stands for precise graphic and concept work. In recent years, the company has realized design and brand projects for institutions and companies such as the Zurich Children's Hospital, BSC Young Boys and Raiffeisen. The focus has been on corporate design, print design, illustration as well as UX and web design.

More depth instead of more of the same

dropZone has a strong foundation in strategic marketing, content production, performance marketing and cross-channel campaign management. Formend complements this foundation with in-depth design and UX expertise as well as conceptual strength in visual brand development. The existing overlaps in branding and web do not lead to duplication, but to a consolidation of expertise.

"Formend brings additional design and concept strength to our agency. This allows us to think even more holistically about projects. Especially in the age of AI, it is crucial that someone keeps an eye on the big picture. We don't deliver decorated quick fixes, but concepts with substance. And when we start a project, we take responsibility for it. Always," says Mischa Röthlisberger, Co-CEO of dropZone.

In addition, Formend's contacts will give dropZone better access to French-speaking countries, particularly in the direction of Fribourg. The company is thus expanding its regional presence in an increasingly bilingual market environment.

Continuity during integration

For Stefanie Maurer, the previous owner of Formend, the choice of partner was crucial: "It was important to me that Formend was not simply taken over, but that our team, our customers and our attitude went with it. In dropZone, I have found partners who are strategically strong and at the same time value design and substance - which is exactly what is needed today."

Processes, systems and brand identity will be standardized over the course of the first half of 2026. The existing contact persons will accompany the handover so that continuous support is guaranteed. Once the integration is complete, the company will operate exclusively under the dropZone brand.
