Digicomp with federal Web Project Manager course
Starting in 2013, Digicomp will offer the Web Project Manager (WPM) course. It is the first course in Digicomp’s portfolio designed to prepare students for a federal certification and is conducted in collaboration with Simsa (Swiss Internet Industry Association).
Simsa is responsible for course development and is officially authorized by the Federal Office for Professional Education and Technology to award the WPM diplomas. According to a Digicomp press release, the advanced training course to become a federally certified Web Project Manager is particularly geared towards developing generalist skills. The course lasts three semesters and trains specialists at the interfaces of IT, e-business, business administration and organization. It is aimed at communication and information officers, designers and graphic artists, marketing and advertising specialists as well as web and IT specialists who wish to develop their skills as Web Project Managers.
Overall responsibility for the course lies with Claudio Dionisio, Vice President of Simsa, President of the "Best of Swiss Web Association" and member of the Executive Board of Netzmedien.
