The high usefulness of the ecological promotional items
SUSTAINABILITY does not always equal environmental friendliness. It's the certification that counts. More and more companies are focusing on this value. Especially when it comes to ecological promotional items. Ecology is an ongoing trend. More and more companies are following this trend and have developed an environmentally friendly strategy. This awareness has also become established in the marketing sector. Specialists are trying to integrate ecological elements into their measures. One example of this is promotional items. They are not only used as a supplement to a campaign, but also represent the (sustainable) image of the company. It is therefore all the more important to them that the relevant items are certified. Various promotional product suppliers are expanding their range accordingly. MK presents four examples. The small garden

"Our aim is to stock only organic products and increase the proportion of sustainable items every year," says Manfred Janek, CEO of the KWopen AG. A new development from the company is the "Tiny Garden". This gives customers the opportunity to plant herbs at their desk or on their windowsill without soil. A small cardboard box with a patented and natural hemp mat serves as the base. "The seed is spread on the hemp mat and a little water is poured over it. All the nutrients it needs are contained in the hemp mat. After seven to fourteen days, the sprouts can be harvested," reports Janek. The varieties available for the "small garden" are basil, sunflower, cress, broccoli and radish."Mister Barista"

Another innovation from KWopen AG is the refillable coffee capsules called "Mister Barista". "These are suitable for all Nespresso coffee machines from 2003 onwards," says Manfred Janek. The capsules are made of stainless steel and can be laser-engraved with the customer's logo. "The capsule is supplied with two different lids made of food-safe silicone. The black lid is for finely ground coffees such as espresso, while the brown lid is for coarsely ground coffees such as filter coffee," explains Janek.Practical and hard-wearing

Another specialist in ecological promotional items is the SimCla AG. "We pay attention to production without chemicals that are harmful to health and the environment," says Stephanie Wetzel, CMO of SimCla AG. The company offers products with ecological standards. For example, the product line made from recycled PET bottles, the canvas carrier bags and the entire Swiss Made line. "Drawstring bags are currently in vogue and are popular for both sports equipment and everyday use," says Wetzel. In line with this trend, SimCla offers the "Kordel BÄGi" made of canvas - practical and hard-wearing, whether worn on the back or in the hands. The drawstring bags can be printed with a logo as required. Other ecological bags from SimCla are the "Elegance BÄGi" and the "BÄGi XL" made of rPET. They are particularly suitable for shopping and have a zipper. These bag formats can also be personalized with photo printing.Nature meets technology

The promotional product supplier ProSign AG has designed a website specifically for its sustainable products. Marketers can find ideas for their campaigns at greensign.ch. "Advertising materials made from organic raw materials are currently very popular. We have various items in our range that we have custom-made or that are exclusively available in Switzerland. These include tableware made from bamboo, "Nowaste" cups made from tree sap and a loudspeaker made from bamboo cane," explains Sabine Niedermann, Managing Director of ProSign AG. However, the Bamboo solar charger is particularly popular. It is the ideal solution for supplying smartphones or other mobile devices with emergency power while on the move. The charger has a capacity of 15,000 mAh. A logo application is also possible on the Bamboo.
