The Swiss Dialog Marketing Association held its AGM
On May 30, later in the year than usual, the SDV held its General Assembly this year. 32 registered participants met at the association member AZ-Direct in Rotkreuz. President Milo Stössel opened the 47th General Assembly after brunch.
The association has a relatively stable membership base of 114 members. The SDV writes in a press release that it is also feeling the effects of change with company mergers, business closures and downsizing. Nevertheless, the association is financially sound. Although extraordinary projects such as the website or the technical upgrade of the Robinson list, the finances are balanced.
The largest project - the consultation on the revision of the Data Protection Act - was made possible thanks to the fund co-financed by all members. The annual report 2016 was accepted and with the finances, annual accounts and balance sheet also the discharge was granted.
Considering that the members have proven to finance additionally in case of emergency, the membership fee, which has been charged since 2013, is left at the same level.
The SDV announces a resignation from the Board of Directors: Daniel Jud from Druckerei Baumer prefers, after new years on the Board, to be "just" a member again. He has proposed Roger Muffler, Head Data at Künzler Bachmann Direktmarketing, as his successor.
In addition, the board is to be strengthened with Stephan Isenschmid, Swiss CRM Forum. The assembly clearly elected both of them. The auditors Oliver P. Künzler, Trendcommerce, and Oliver Rodau of Kraftwerk also stepped down after many years. Jürg Ulmann, Ulmann & Partner Dialog, and Guido Cometti, Schmidli.Cometti.Dialog, are the new auditors. President Milo Stössel was also unanimously re-elected.
The outlook for 2017 is exciting. The focus in the association year will be on even closer cooperation with commercial communication associations. In addition, advertising clients and service providers are currently being surveyed for the new Dialog Marketing Report 2017.
The data protection issue will continue to occupy the association and affects the entire advertising industry, the statement continues. Competent and comprehensive comments were made on the consultation. Many stakeholders were thus motivated to do the same. Now the political work begins, according to the SDV.
Furthermore, the Swiss Dialog Marketing Award (SDV Award) is intended to promote young talent - and to encourage and challenge marketing natives.
