Film Funding: Krieg, Schlupp, Springer & Jacoby have added a few new titles to Swiss cinema.
Film promotion war Schlupp Springer & Jacoby have given Swiss film a few new titles.Swiss films have been the talk of the town for a long time in recent years. "Achtung, fertig, Charlie" has reached over half a million moviegoers. "Ernstfall in Havanna" unanimously delighted critics and audiences. Studio films such as "Utopia Blues", "Strähl" and "Forget Baghdad" have won international awards. Nevertheless, such films can barely cover their production costs because their reach in Switzerland is too limited. Without public funding - as in other European countries - hardly any ambitious cinema project can be realized.massive increase planned
The Zurich region is the center of Swiss-German filmmaking. The city and canton want to reorganize their joint film funding and quadruple their annual subsidies to around CHF 8 million. The prerequisite for this is that the city's contribution of 3 million is passed in the vote on September 26. A film foundation would then be set up with a starting capital of 20 million francs from the cantonal lottery fund.
Voting campaign underway: Films solicit subsidies.
Logically, the Swiss film industry is behind this bill. However, film promotion is an issue that also affects the advertising industry - so anyone who can help to win the vote should do so.
Krieg Schlupp Springer & Jacoby has realized a creative voting campaign for the association Zurich for Film (VZF). Film posters and the film trailers of the most successful Swiss films are shown. These have been rewritten and set to new music.
"We were happy to serve the cause, and this campaign has also received a great deal of goodwill from the printers and repro department," the Zurich agency Krieg Schlupp Springer & Jacoby proudly announces. The newly edited film trailers are already cult. The original actors themselves were always in the studio for the new soundtracks. From Viktor Giacobbo and Mathias Gnädinger to Mike Müller and Melanie Winiger.
