CR Basel raises awareness of the topic of visual impairment

With a new campaign designed by CR Basel, the Swiss Federation of the Blind and Visually Impaired (SBC) is drawing attention to the everyday challenges faced by the visually impaired.

TV commercials and illuminated posters show the Swiss public that it is anything but easy for people with visual impairments to recognize objects correctly: whether it is a persimmon or an orange, a packing cord or a ball of wool - these and similar questions are asked by a large proportion of the 325,000 visually impaired people in Switzerland when they go shopping and are representative of many life situations that people with impaired vision have to cope with on a daily basis.

With the long-term campaign, including a visually impaired-friendly campaign website, the SBC wants to point out, among other things, that the national organization, which is run by those affected, offers significant support not only to blind people, but also to visually impaired people: with professional advice and a wide range of rehabilitation, educational and leisure activities.
