CCP held up well in 2003

Clear Channel Plakanda, the second-largest outdoor advertising company in Switzerland, «held its own” in 2003 and closed the year with results just slightly below the previous year’s.

Out-of-home advertising Clear Channel Plakanda, the number 2 in Swiss out-of-home advertising, "held up well in 2003, finishing only slightly down on the previous year, thus slightly increasing CCP's market share in the traditional poster business", announced Beat Roeschlin, CCP's CEO.CCP, as a subsidiary of Clear Channel Worldwide (CCW), which is listed on the New York Stock Exchange, is not permitted to publish more detailed figures due to the US Sarbanes-Oxley Act. According to this law, detailed information about companies listed on US stock exchanges and their subsidiaries may only be communicated by a single company office. The CEOs face severe prison sentences if false figures are published.
For this reason, CCP does not disclose how much CCW still holds in its competitor Affichage. Just over a year ago, CCW reduced its stake from 8 to 4 percent. It is now said to be even less. Roeschlin only says: "Clear Channel no longer holds a significant stake in Affichage."
