Cannes: Shortlists for Stories and Saatchi & Saatchi
Zurich-based film production Stories has secured a place in the Film Lions final with its Suva film "Das Leben braucht Mut". And Saatchi & Saatchi Geneva is flirting with a sixth Lion.
Out of 33 Swiss entries in the "Film" category, only one entry made it onto the shortlist. Stories has a good chance of winning a Lion in the "Corporate Image & Communication" sub-category. The film "Das Leben braucht Mut" has already won the Edi.14, among others (Werbewoche.ch reported) and was described by the jury as a "rarely touching work". And Cannes seems to be a good place for the Stories work: In October 2014, the Suva film was not only awarded three gold medals at the Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards, but also - as a Swiss premiere - the Grand Prix (Werbewoche.ch reported).
Saatchi & Saatchi Geneva has once again secured another Swiss shortlist place: the Vangardist campaign "The HIV+ Issue", which has already won gold, double silver and double bronze, has a realistic chance of winning a sixth Lion in the "Branded Content & Entertainment" category, sub-category "Original Printed Content".
The lions in the final categories will be awarded on Saturday evening. Then we will see whether German-speaking Switzerland can also add its name to this year's medal table thanks to Stories. So far, all six Swiss Lions have gone to Geneva in French-speaking Switzerland. (hae)
