Cannes Lions: Unilever wins "Advertiser of the Year"

A winner of this year's Cannes Lions has already been announced. Unilevr has won the "Advertiser of the Year" award.

According to Terry Savage, chairman of the festival, the Dutch-British consumer goods group has earned this title with innovative marketing strategies and creative collaboration with the respective agencies. Unilever's Head of Marketing, Keith Weed, will receive the award during the award ceremony on June 26 in Cannes.

Unilever won its first Lion for the OMO detergent campaign in 1961. In the years that followed, the company won over 200 more Cannes Lions. The Group also received the Media Grand Prix in 2002 for the Magnum campaign "7 Deadly Sins - Give in to it" and the Cyber and Film Grand Prix in 2007 for the Dove advertising campaign "Evolution".
