Nico Rosberg becomes Julius Baer Global Brand Ambassador
Julius Baer announced its partnership with former Formula One world champion Nico Rosberg on Wednesday. As ambassador and partner, he will in future stand for the bank's commitments and initiatives in the areas of sustainability, sustainable investing and future trends.
In 2016, Rosberg retired from professional racing after winning the Formula 1 World Championship as an active driver. Since then, he has been active as an entrepreneur and investor, particularly in the areas of sustainability, electromobility and green technology. He is currently involved in several companies and projects. He is also a shareholder in Formula E and one of the founders of the Greentech Festival - both of which Bank Julius Baer is also a long-standing partner.
As Julius Baer's brand ambassador, Nico Rosberg's activities will include the Formula E partnership and the Greentech Festival, as well as more generally in connection with the bank's sustainable investing activities and its Next Generation investment philosophy.
"I am very proud to be able to support Julius Baer in its sustainability strategy," said Rosberg. "For me, investments are also always investments in the future, which is why I am convinced that the financial industry must think sustainability and profit together. Banks have a special responsibility here and it makes me proud that Julius Baer is leading the way in this respect. I look forward to our joint projects."
