The Scharlachrot agency was originally founded by Kurt Wettstein over thirty years ago as WVC Communication. Current clients include national and international companies and brands such as Geberit, Bico, Kapag and the TX Group.

"Marcus Josty has an incredibly broad background and once again brings new expertise to the agency, from which not only our employees but also our clients will benefit," said Wettstein on the handover. "His passion, ideas and clear vision for the development of the company impressed me right from the start and I am delighted that the agency can open another chapter with him as its successor." Wettstein himself will remain with the Scarlet agency as a member of the Board of Directors.

The new owner Marcus Josty has worked as Creative Director and Partner at Wirz Group in recent years. In addition to numerous campaigns for various clients such as Migros, BKW, Yallo and Migros Bank, at Wirz he was jointly responsible for the entire visual brand identity of Migros, which was redeveloped as part of the new umbrella brand strategy in 2020. The visual identity of the "V-Love" brand for Migros, which won a silver Effie in 2022, was also conceived and developed under his creative direction.

"I'm looking forward to the new challenge and have great respect for what Kurt Wettstein has built up with Scharlachrot over the last four decades," says Josty about his new role. "The agency not only enjoys long-standing employees, but also long-standing client relationships - neither of which can be taken for granted in this day and age. That's why it's important to me to take care of what we've achieved so far and at the same time make room for new ideas. The name change from Scarlet is a symbolic first step in this direction."
