"Adblockers are legitimate"

«13 Questions for...» Mark Burow, Creative Director and Head of User & Brand Experience at Namics.

Unbenannt-2

1. which professional colleague would you take with you to a desert island?

A consultant, a developer and a PL - in case there are any exciting projects.

2. who was your most fun lunch partner?

A picnic with my two-year-old daughter - more fun than any business lunch.

3. what would you never advertise under any circumstances?

AfD, FPÖ, SVP etc ...

4. what is it impossible for you to do without?

A team in which good ideas are created together.

5. a buzz word that gets on your nerves?

Is there one that does NOT get on your nerves?

6 If you hadn't become an advertiser - what then?

Depends on my mood and the time of year - probably gardeners at the moment! (Editor's note: survey took place in spring)

7 Where do you currently see the biggest challenge for the advertising industry?

The number of opportunities to make skillful use of digital communication. Those who still rely on simply filling channels are missing the opportunity to generate real added value for customers and users. Today, integrated solutions are required.

8 What role do awards play in the advertising industry?

A much larger one than outside our industry. For the creative industry, an award is proof that their work also exists in the external cosmos. This naturally strengthens the client relationship. Outside the advertising world, many people don't even know Cannes.

9. what do you never bring to the office?

A time clock.

10. name a campaign that has recently caught your attention in a positive way - but was not created by you.

I think the United Nations' "Share the Meal" app is very successful. The issue of hunger, especially among children, is more topical than ever. Fundraising in itself is nothing new, but to show us all at lunchtime how little of our daily budget is needed to help effectively is something I find very successful.

11. when is there a bad mood in your agency?

When pitches are all about money and no longer about quality. In short: when you don't win despite having good ideas.

12. when you have an idea, how do you know it is good?

If it works.

13. what do you think about adblockers?

Legitimate. There are so many more exciting channels than banner advertising.
