Perhaps this is one of the reasons why Clear Channel Plakanda (CCP), on the home straight, so to speak, and with the results table in front of it, wants to withdraw from this serious project. And because of my expressed surprise regarding the abrupt exit of our competitor: On June 27, 2005, one day before CCP said goodbye to the SPR in writing, I had a telephone conversation with its CEO, Beat Roeschlin. The SPR was also on the agenda. Roeschlin made no mention of the fact that CCP would be saying goodbye to it the next day. On the contrary, he explicitly supported my proposal to agree on the lowest possible common denominator for the outstanding issues. Therefore and with respect: I am and remain surprised by this decision!
