Radio The Federal Office of Communications (OFCOM) is preparing the expansion of the digital radio service (T-DAB). The first step is to clarify the needs of interested parties. If there is sufficient interest in a second DAB coverage in German-speaking Switzerland alongside that of the SRG, licenses could be put out to tender in spring 2006. In this case, Bakom expects to make a decision by the end of 2006. Priority will be given to private broadcasters aiming for regional language coverage.
