Suisse Podcast Awards: Top 20 for new audience award

Following last year’s successful launch, the Suisse Podcast Awards will be presented for the second time on Wednesday, March 27, at Club Plaza in Zurich. The 20 finalists for the new Audience Choice Award were announced over the weekend—and voting is now underway.

More than 1,000 podcasts are already being produced in Switzerland, and the trend is rising sharply - what began as hype has now developed into an established trend. The Suisse Podcast Awards therefore not only strike a chord with the times, they also support a young scene and establish quality standards, especially with the presentation of the Suisse Podcasts Awards, which are now presented by a top-class jury in nine categories. "With the Suisse Podcast Awards, we want to recognize the best of a young and rapidly growing industry and be both a platform and a community for them," says initiator Dino Giglio in a press release.

For the first time, the Suisse Podcast Awards will also be presenting an audience award. From the numerous entries submitted via the largest curated Swiss podcast platform and the suggestions of the Suisse Podcast Academy, 20 podcasts were nominated for the Audience Award. In addition to reach, relevance, singularity and originality were the key criteria.

The following 20 podcasts have been nominated: "Auf dem Weg als Anwältin", "Besser Mit Ton", "Comedymänner", "Das letzte Stündchen", "Die Sprechstunde", "Extrem Therapie", "FinanzFabio", "Herrgöttli Panachiert", "Kurds&Bündig", "Lebenslänglich", "Los emmal", "Mach Dis Ding", "Kiffe Ta Race", "Schnurri mit Burri", "Störfrequenz", "Simply oversharing", "Sara und Mara im Gespräch", "Theo Erzählt", "Übertribe mit Stiu" and "Znüni Pause".

From now on online until March 15 to vote for the winner of the inaugural Suisse Podcast Awards Audience Award. The podcasts are also described in detail and linked there. The podcast with the most votes wins.

The jury and the shortlist for the other nine categories will be announced in a week's time.
