Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts students win the LSA Junior Agency Award

At the LSA Junior Agency Awards 2025 ceremony at the Mascotte in Zurich, the finalist teams from three universities of applied sciences presented their campaign ideas for the client 20 Minuten—live in front of the jury, the audience, and industry representatives.

The LSA Junior Agency Award took place for the fifth time and has established itself as an integral part of the exchange between universities of applied sciences and leading Swiss agencies. Around 80 students worked together with 20 LSA agencies to develop creative communication solutions for a real client briefing. This year's task was: How can 20 Minuten inspire young people to use its app regularly? The final teams delivered convincing answers, strategically sound, creatively conceived and professionally presented.

The main prize went to the team from Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts in collaboration with Accenture Song, which impressed the jury with its clear idea, well thought-out strategy and strong presentation.

The audience prize, awarded by the university representatives present, went to the team from Bern University of Applied Sciences with Valencia.

"We asked one question and received many answers - from crosswalks in 20 Minuten blue to countless insights into the target group and festival solutions. From young people who put their heart and soul into the 20 Minuten brand and our understanding of journalistic values and took on a real communicative challenge. The result is a lot of inspiration - from all the teams, not just the winners." Victoria Rispy and Beat Krapf, 20 minutes.

The LSA Junior Agency Award impressively demonstrates how successful the combination of education, practice and the creative industries can be and how much potential there is in the next generation of the industry.

The evening was hosted by Danijel Sljivo and Audrey Arnold, who led through the program with humour and flair. Philipp Skrabal, Advertiser of the Year 2025, provided an inspiring impulse with a personal review of his path in the creative industry - including tangible tips for the generation of tomorrow.

The jury consisted of proven experts from the fields of strategy, creation, media and commissioning:
Victoria Rispy and Beat Krapf (20 Minuten), Simone Jehle (Wirz Group), Silvan Metzger (MRB Partner), Philipp Skrabal (Team Farner), Oliver Schönfeld (TWMedia) and Matthias Kiess (TBWA Switzerland).

The LSA Junior Agency Award combines theory with practice: in a semester-long project, students develop real campaign assignments in close cooperation with LSA member agencies. This year, HSLU, FHNW and BFH took part.
