Swiss creative scene celebrates at the Swiss Party
Swiss representatives met in Cannes for the annual Swiss Party. Werbewoche was there.

The Swiss Party this year took place - as well as the Swiss BBQ - on Avenue Jean Hibert. The new hot spot of the Swiss creative scene. The hosts Rita Kovacs and Peter Beck from the Swissfilm Association invited and the Swiss advertising and communication industry came. 110 guests cavorted with oysters and other delicacies on the beach of the Maëma. The DJ played old hits by the Bee Gees and the dance floor on the beach was well attended.

The hosts: Peter Beck and Rita Kovacs, both Swissfilm Association.

Anna Kohler, MK Werbewoche, Sophie Toth and Marco Lutz, both Shining Pictures.

Stefan Bircher, Shining Pictures, Manuel Wenzel and Matthias Kiess, both TBWA\Zurich.

The Swiss Party has been held every year since 2011 during Cannes Lions and is considered a must-attend event for the Swiss creative scene.

Well catered for: The 110 or so guests also had plenty of culinary delights.

Managing Director Rita Kovacs draws a positive conclusion, but worries about the future of the festival: "We are witnessing a big change right now. Without accreditation, you can't get in anywhere at the Croisette this year. The organizers want to upgrade the festival for the accredited. But the scene of creatives will always be found. We are very pleased that so many have found their way to us," she says - and heads for the dance floor.
