Maxomedia is shortlisted twice for the Lovie Awards
With its new website for Energie Wasser Bern, Maxomedia has been shortlisted twice for the Lovie Awards. The website stood out for its design and innovative user guidance.
The Lovie Award is a pan-European award for websites, online advertising, internet videos, mobile & apps and social. The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS) is behind the award. The Academy is made up of representatives from the Internet industry as well as other well-known personalities such as Imogen Heap (musician from the UK), Dan Howell (British blogger "danisnotonfire"), Stephen Fry (British actor), Vic Hayes (co-inventor of Wi-Fi), Robin Chase (founder of Buzzcar), Alexander Ljung (founder and CEO Soundcloud) and Corinne Vigreux (co-founder TomTom).
Websites otherwise only compared nationally
The Website was nominated in the categories "Best Design/Functional" and "Best Navigation/Structure". The innovative user guidance has already been honored with a nomination for the Best of Swiss Web 2017. The website relies on a flat design approach. The tile design dynamically adapts to different screen sizes so that the website can be viewed on any device. An emotional imagery as well as a brand-related use of colors and fonts carry the corporate identity to the outside.
Bernhard Herzig, CEO of Maxomedia and overall responsible of the project, is visibly pleased about the nomination: "The Lovie Award is a pan-European award for digital works. Works were submitted from over 30 countries. Websites in particular are otherwise only compared on a national stage. I'm all the more pleased that we can also keep up on the international stage."
Multilingual Award
What makes the Lovie Award special is its multilingualism. Works can be submitted in English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Swedish and Dutch in five main categories. In November, the awards will be presented in London for the seventh time.
