Firmly convinced that music, as an intuitive universal language, can trigger new sensations and intensify the taste experience of champagne, Krug created the "Krug x Music" event series, for which Maison Krug partnered with Diego Baldenweg, Nora Baldenweg, and Lionel Baldenweg in 2023. The trio composed a symphonic piece of music and associated with it a unique tasting experience for the new Grande Cuvée 171ème Edition. The composition was recorded with the renowned symphonic orchestra Musikkollegium Winterthur conducted by Roberto González-Monjas.

Diego Baldenweg with Nora Baldenweg & Lionel Baldenweg are a multi-award winning international composing team. In 2004, the Swiss/Australian siblings founded the music production company Great Garbo and have since composed custom music for over 350 international advertising campaigns and brands. As film music composers, they have composed the music for more than 20 feature films. These include for the box office hit "Die kleine Hexe" with Karoline Herfurth, for the international remake of Til Schweiger's well-known tragicomedy "Head full of Honey (Honig im Kopf)" with Nick Nolte and for the Oscar-nominated "La Femme et le TGV" with Jane Birkin. They just celebrated the world premiere of their latest work "In the Land of Saints and Sinners" with Liam Neeson at the 80th Venice International Film Festival. In 2010, they won the SUISA Award for Best Film Score at the Locarno International Film Festival. In 2018, they were awarded the prize for "Best Film Score" by the Swiss Film Academy and in 2019, they were nominated for "Score of the Year (Public Choice)" at the World Soundtrack Awards for their music for the historical drama "Zwingli - Der Reformator". The Baldenwegs have been nominated three times for the Australian Academy Award for their music in TV series.
As inspiration for the instrumental work "La Célébration", the Swiss-Australian composer trio Baldenweg visited the Maison Krug in Reims, France, and followed the melody of champagne. This is created when the champagne bottles are turned a few degrees each day. The 7/8 rhythm revealed in this sound served as the basis for the composition. Just as music acquires its melodic expression through the interaction of the individual notes, the Grand Cuvée does so through the harmony of the various wines. Only the perfect interplay of each individual component brings out the character of Krug champagnes and that of any music.
