SBB's "Gottardo 2016" takes the top prize at the Award-CC
On Thursday, at the Escherwyss Club in Zurich, the SBB project «Gottardo 2016» was awarded the grand prize at the 2017 Swiss Award for Corporate Communications.

Of the 19 projects submitted, the independent and honorary jury had, as previously announced, nominated four for the main prize, namely "Strategy Communication" by Mobiliar, "Eichhof, New Brew from Lucerne" by Heineken Switzerland, "Repositioning" by the agency Serviceplan Suisse for its client ABB and "Gottardo 2016" by SBB. At yesterday's award ceremony at the Escherwyss Club in Zurich, the SBB project was awarded the main prize.
Jury President Peter Stücheli-Herlach from the IAM Institute for Applied Media Studies at the ZHAW explained the reasons for this decision as follows: "The opening of the Gotthard Base Tunnel was doomed to success. And indeed, the event of the century has become a piece of Swiss history. The project's strategy is problem-conscious and comprehensively worked out. In its implementation, the project plays a single motif on the entire keyboard of modern media communication. The impact of the project is striking and cleverly reflected."
The jury of the only Swiss award for corporate communication rated all four nominated projects as "excellent examples of networked and effective corporate communication". The winner of the main prize also took home the award sculpture designed by Ticino sculptor Pedro Pedrazzini.
Daniel Bieri, representing the organizer, thanked the numerous sponsors, without whose support the 13th consecutive event would not have been possible. As of this year, the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) is now also supporting the award as a knowledge partner, after the professional association pr suisse has been involved as an exclusive industry partner since 2015.
The 14th year of the award is just around the corner. Entries can be submitted from March 1 to July 15, 2018, and the award ceremony will take place on September 6.
