DOOH Award 2021 new with three instead of one awards and new voting

Clear Channel’s DOOH Award enters its third year with two notable changes. The 2021 award will feature additional categories, and, for the first time, the public can also have a say through online voting.

In addition to the award for the best digital out-of-home campaign of the year, the Charity Award for the best NGO or NPO campaign and the Rookie Award for the best campaign by a start-up or DOOH newcomer will be presented in 2021. In this way, Clear Channel aims to show appreciation for customer segments that are increasingly relying on DOOH and demonstrate that this medium does not only bring success for large national advertising clients, according to a press release.

The Clear Channel team has sifted through all campaigns from September 1, 2020 to August 31, 2021 and determined a selection for the voting platform. Advertising clients and employees of media and creative agencies are invited to vote from September 20 on which campaigns should be on the shortlist for the jury.

Dang Nguyen, a representative of last year's DOOH winner Credit Suisse, will be a new member of the jury, which will decide on the best campaigns on November 4. The award ceremony will take place on November 17.
