The campaign "The worst cook in Switzerland" for Vorwerk Switzerland is one of six Swiss works nominated for the Webby Award in the category "Advertising, Media & PR: Food & Beverage".

Webby Award

The annual Webby Awards are presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS) for the 24th time and recognize outstanding achievements on the Internet. The Academy is made up of experts from the Internet industry, including Instagram co-founder Kevin Systrom, Mozilla Chairman Mitchell Baker and 23andMe co-founder CEO Anne Wojcicki.

To mark the launch of the new Thermomix TM6, Serviceplan ran a storytelling campaign in various phases to find the worst cook in Switzerland - and took the title away from him again straight away. As part of a cooking event, the winner served her five best friends a gourmet meal with a little help from celebrity chef Silvio Germann and the new Thermomix TM6.

The campaign was targeted via Vorwerk Switzerland's own social media channels and newsletters, via the channels of the Vorwerk representatives, Betty Bossi and 20 Minuten in German-speaking and French-speaking Switzerland and supported with YouTube bumper ads and SEA.

Raul Serrat, Executive Creative Director of Serviceplan Suisse, is delighted with the nomination: "The worst chef in Switzerland is a great example of how you can develop exceptional campaigns even with a limited budget. Being nominated for such a prestigious award is a great reward, which we are delighted about."

As a nominee, "Switzerland's Worst Chef" is also part of the public voting for the Webby People's Voice Award, which is voted for online by fans all over the world. Until Thursday, all fans can cast their vote at Vote.webbyawards.com submit. The winners will be announced on May 19, 2020, and honored at an online ceremony.
