Werbewoche: Congratulations on the title - how does it feel to be the newly crowned "Advertiser of the Year"?

Livio Dainese: Like freshly applied cream.

You have been nominated three times in a row - what do you think tipped the scales this year?

We have been doing a good job on our customers for years. This year it was probably even better.

What would you like to use the year as title holder for?

It certainly doesn't hurt if you can show people here and there that advertising is a very complex and decent profession.

Where do you put the Egon?

It goes in the Wirz. That's where he belongs. It's an honor for our team and belongs to all of us.

Why do you think the other two nominees also deserve the title?

Daniel has set up a good store with Sir Mary. Pascal can always come up with surprising ideas. They are both really nice guys. That's also important.

60:60

Why are you taking on this dual role?

Because I like being able to shape Wirz not only creatively but also as CEO.

What can your Co-Managing Director Petra Dreyfus do better than you?

Parking.

What are you proud of?

To my boys.

What annoys you?

My boys.

What is the best thing that has ever happened to you in advertising?

Every really good job is the best thing that has ever happened to me in advertising.

Your biggest vice?

Bicycle accessories.

What talent would you like to have?

Patience.

What three qualities characterize a good advertiser?

Inventiveness. Persistence. Perfectionism.

What would you still like to achieve in your career?

I would like to have an agency sheep.
