CH Media is the new organizer of the Swiss Music Awards 2022
On May 25, 2022, the 15th edition of the Swiss Music Awards will take place at the Bossard Arena in Zug. CH Media is taking on the role of organizer for the first time, thereby expanding on its role last year as the official host broadcaster for the live event.
The 15th edition of the Swiss Music Awards (SMA) will take place on May 25, 2022 at the Bossard Arena in Zug. The event has been postponed until the end of May in the hope of being able to offer a broadcast with a live audience.
As media partner, 3+ again exclusively broadcasts the awarding of the concrete blocks on TV. The private TV station is part of the media company CH Media, which is now also taking on the role of promoter. An agreement to this effect was concluded with rights holder IFPI Switzerland, the industry association of Swiss music labels, and official distributor Verein Press Play.
"After we were already able to accompany the Swiss Music Awards as exclusive broadcaster in 2021, we are now looking forward to shaping the renowned music award ceremony even more strongly as organizer with our entertainment know-how and our passion for Swiss music and to lead it into the future," Roger Elsener, CEO of CH Media Entertainment, was quoted as saying in a statement on Thursday.
The previous organizer, Claim Event, had stepped down from its duties last December after being responsible for the last two editions.
