AOL posts net loss in the second quarter
The Internet company AOL recorded a net loss in the second quarter. Turnover fell by eight percent from 592.2 million to 542.2 million dollars.
Advertising revenue, on the other hand, rose by five percent to 319 million dollars, not least due to the purchase of the internet newspaper Huffington Post. As the company announced on Tuesday according to SDA, the losses in the quarter ending June 30 amounted to 11.8 million dollars. In the same period last year, the figure was 1.06 billion dollars.
