90 Years of Coca-Cola Switzerland at the Schiffbau in Zurich

Last year, Coca-Cola Switzerland celebrated its 90th anniversary with an evening event at the Schiffbau in Zurich. More than 400 guests from the worlds of politics, business, and culture enjoyed a carefully curated program that blended history with a sense of new beginnings. The creative agency JEFF Zurich was responsible for the concept, creative direction, and operational execution of the entire event experience—from the show, hospitality, and immersive activations to the overall coordination of all participants on site.

Strong Coordination as the Key to Success

Behind the scenes, a strong network of experienced partners made the evening possible: Venon Projects handled the technology and show production, Nolina Applica took care of branding and floral design, Stammkraft managed the large-scale setups, and LaSalle Restaurant provided bar service and staff catering—all supported by the Schiffbau team as on-site hosts. JEFF Zurich was responsible for the overall conceptual and operational management, acting as the central point of contact for all contributors on behalf of Coca-Cola Switzerland and Oppenheim & Partner.

Kirstin Maclean, Co-COO & Managing Director at JEFF Zurich, describes the philosophy behind this: «An outstanding event works like an orchestra: Only when everyone involved moves in sync can a harmonious overall experience be created. This requires not only precision on stage, but also, behind the scenes, clearly defined roles, coordinated processes, and a shared understanding of the big picture.»

An Evening Between History and a New Beginning

The program included a speech by District President Carmen Walker Späh and the announcement of a 500,000-franc donation from the Coca-Cola HBC Foundation to the WWF’s Nature Connects project. Stress, Stefanie Heinzmann, and the Biel Solothurn TOBS Symphony Orchestra provided the musical finale.

Immersive Experiences Celebrating 90 Years of Coca-Cola

Immersive experiences allowed guests to delve into the brand’s history: A «Time Tunnel» took them through 90 years of Swiss Coca-Cola history with historical and iconic brand artifacts, and an AI photo booth let them create personalized vintage postcards. Culinary creations by top chef Pascal Schmutz and Coca-Cola ambassador Noah Bachofen rounded out the evening.

The event brought home the fact that Coca-Cola Switzerland is more than just a brand: it is an integral part of everyday life and local culture in Switzerland, thanks to local production and partnerships with more than 40 festivals, up-and-coming athletes, and artists. It was an evening that not only looked back but also celebrated the start of the next 90 years.
