5 p.m. Academy met in the House of Communication

On Wednesday, June 25, 2014, the 5:00 p.m. Academy took place for the first time at the Zurich House of Communication. The theme was «Smart TV: Smart Users – Smart Solutions.»

Under the heading "Smart TV: smart users - smart solutions" with a focus on user behavior and the opportunities for companies, industry insights and business models were presented by experts and discussed with around 30 invited guests from business, research and industry. Speakers included Tim Alexander (Head of Marketing & Brand Communication at Swisscom), Martin Spycher (Head of Innovation Multimedia SRG SSR), Christian Bopp (Managing Director of facit digital Munich) and Tobias Gärtner (Managing Director of Plan.Net Zurich).

The 5 p.m. academy is a series of lectures and discussions organized by Serviceplan and Plan.Net and is dedicated to topics relating to innovations, trends and paradigm shifts in communication. At regular intervals, renowned experts, marketing and communications managers are invited to discuss current developments in the industry and share their insights. As host, the House of Communication in Zurich acts as a hub for a cross-competence network. And thus reflects its own culture of a common place of activity for specialists in the fields of advertising, digital, media and public relations.

The next 5 p.m. academy in Zurich's House of Communication will take place in September.
