Last but not least: "Wholy fuck"
Following the crash-landing of a Korean jet in San Francisco, the U.S. television station KTVU came up with a particularly tasteless joke. However, this will have no legal consequences.
The airline Asiana is again refraining from filing a lawsuit against the broadcaster. According to the San Francisco Chronicle on Wednesday, an airline spokeswoman confirmed that the station will not be sued. Asiana had initially threatened legal action for damage to its reputation. After the crash landing of an airplane in San Francisco with three fatalities, the KTVU station in California reported the supposed names of the Korean pilots, which shortly afterwards turned out to be a hoax. The presenters realized too late that the names - spoken aloud - resembled a description of the accident in broken English with an Asian accent: "Something wrong, we too low, holy fuck, bang ding ow" (roughly: "Etwas falsch, wir zu tief, heilige Scheisse, bumm krach aua.").

Outraged viewers complained about the joke. The station promptly apologized for the blunder. According to KTVU, the mocking names came from an employee of the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB). An intern involved in the incident was fired by the agency. (uma/SDA)
