Last but not least: People's baby carriages
Volkswagen responded to a Facebook comment in the Netherlands and built a fully automatic, self-braking stroller.
It all began with a TV campaign created by the Achtung! agency, which was broadcast in the Netherlands in April. It showed that Volkswagen drivers have become so accustomed to technical conveniences that they expect the same from the rest of their possessions. #jeverwachtmeer (I expect more). If you have a reasonable command of Dutch:
Conclusion: A horse does not have a navigation system - and a baby carriage does not have a brake assistant that automatically intervenes when the vehicle rolls towards an obstacle. Why not? Timo Ros thought it wasn't such a bad idea and posted the objection under the commercial published on Facebook.

The VW engineers reacted and got to work. At the beginning of August, the prototype was presented in an amusing video - also by Achtung! - was presented. The car not only brakes automatically, but also follows its owner and drives independently.
How functional the smart baby carriage really is, whether it was actually developed by VW engineers and whether Timo Ros didn't post his objection on behalf of the agency - we don't know. Presumably nobody would want to put their own child in it anyway, because they would rather have their health in their own hands. Why this should be any different when driving a car, however, is another question... (hae)
