Last but not least: Getting a job at ZDF via a fake Twitter profile
Once upon a time, there were two students who liked the ZDF network. They liked it so much that they started tweeting on its behalf—even though they had absolutely nothing to do with the network.
Under the account ZDFonline they answered questions, took criticism and provided followers with news, broadcasting tips and background information about ZDF. The two obviously did their job so well that at the beginning, even the public broadcaster did not notice that the tweeting did not originate from their own company. And they also fooled the equally unauthorized owner of the ZDFneo Twitter account: after a supposedly official ZDF request from the ZDFonline account, he handed over the password. Since then, the boys have also been using the Twitter channel of the new special-interest channel ZDFneo. The number of followers shot up and soon the Twitterers were afraid of a lawsuit. They wrote an email to the broadcaster in which they admitted everything. They were then asked to come to ZDF. But instead of a lawsuit, a job offer awaited them: the two have now been officially tweeting about events at ZDF for a good year. A beautiful fairy tale, which of course, like every fairy tale, has a moral: Cheating is not so bad if you do it with passion and desire - and tell the truth in the end.
