And last but not least: SVP on the hunt for votes during Advertising Week
Attention, Zurich residents: If you receive a call from an unknown number these days, it might be the Swiss People's Party—out to win over voters. They've also been trying their luck with *Werbewoche*.
For the cantonal and government council elections on April 3, the Zurich SVP is focusing on voter proximity. Party members are calling potential voters and trying to convince them of the SVP's positions: more security, secure borders, better schools and, of course, no EU membership! The party wants to make a few thousand calls before the elections, as party president Roger Liebi told Radio 24. The graphic designer of Werbewoche was also targeted. Fortunately, she wasn't at home at the time. And because the lady left her message on the answering machine, you can now enjoy it too: to the message.
Note: Anyone who explicitly does not wish to receive advertising and indicates this in the telephone directory with an asterisk will not be called, as the SVP - which incidentally already used a telephone message from Ueli Maurer in 2007 to campaign for a "no" to the Eastern Europe Aid Act - assures the SDA. However, those who refuse to advertise could be threatened with a home visit.
