Last but not least: How to learn
If you drink, don't drive. And if you won't listen, you'll pay the price—including cardiac arrest. What a scare...
Recently this place reported on how Mini got Mexican ladies out of the habit of wearing make-up at the wheel. Leo Burnett London used a similar approach - "surprising" jokes with a hidden camera in the vestibule of the toilets - to discourage English drivers from drinking. The occasion was the awareness campaign "Think! Don't drink and drive" and the "victims" were probably "not very amused".
In terms of the risk of a heart attack, this is almost reminiscent of the elevator joke that a Brazilian TV station pulled last year (Werbewoche.ch reported). But before anyone gets upset about the campaign and wants to protect the poor involuntary actors: the protagonists were actors and the supposedly hidden camera was far less hidden than the TV audience assumed. But the message is still there: "Think what impact a drink could have on your night out". (hae)
