Last but not least: Safety on board
Emirates had flight attendants take the field at Benfica Lisbon's stadium to brief the crowd. For once, a very charming gesture by the airline.
Since May, the Emirates airline has been the shirt sponsor of Portuguese football club Benfica Lisbon. The force with which the Arab airline is spreading its wings in top European football is not only met with approval. "Fly Emirates" is also to be seen on the shirts of AC Milan, Paris Saint-Germain, HSV, Olympiakos Piraeus, Real Madrid and, of course, Arsenal FC, with whom Emirates signed the biggest club sponsorship deal in English football history in 2004 - including the newly built Emirates Stadium.
For once, however, Emirates not only delighted the club treasurers, but also the fans. With a great idea, beautiful flight attendants and 65,000 viewers. And a YouTube clip that was viewed almost 100,000 times after just one day. That's how it works with the image. (hae)
