Last but not least: Do not despair, ask SDA
When the Tagesanzeiger wants to know what is happening at Tamedia, it asks the SDA. At least that's how it seems when you read Friday's Tagi.
In it, the Tagesanzeiger announces the merger at 20 Minuten (Werbewoche.ch reported). However, the newspaper does not refer to a Tamedia press release or even publish a specially written article, but simply adopts an SDA report.

That does seem a bit bizarre. What do you think Tagi is trying to say? "Tamedia doesn't just have to save money at 20 Minuten..."? Or: "Why should we ask Tamedia, the SDA has already done this a long time ago".
We don't know what Tamedia spokesman Christoph Zimmer would say about this, but we'll ask SDA tomorrow.
