Last but not least: Mad Man live in Zurich
Andrew Cracknell, author of *The Real Mad Men: The Remarkable True Story of Madison Avenue’s Golden Age*, will visit the city on the Limmat on June 13. He will speak about an interesting chapter in the history of advertising: New York’s Madison Avenue in the 1960s.
In his lecture, Cracknell will talk about the authenticity of the TV series "Mad Man" and draw parallels to the real Mad Men from Manhattan. A great opportunity to hear first-hand stories about big names and agencies of the Madison Avenue Golden Age and well-kept secrets of legendary campaigns from that era. Andrew Cracknell began his career in the 60s at "Collett Dickenson Pearce" in London. This agency was the starting point for numerous British creatives such as Charles Saatchi, Sir Frank Lowe, Lord David Puttnam, Sir John Hegarty and Sir Ridley Scott, who today enjoy prominent careers. For over 40 years Cracknell was Executive Creative Director of international agencies such as FCB, WCRS, APL and Bates. He now writes on advertising and related topics for Campaign magazine and the Financial Times.
According to the ADC press release, this evening will be toasted in the style of the era with whisky from Chivas Regal. Despite the "style of the era", it is safe to assume that female visitors will not be relegated to the next room to bake cakes. (uma)

The evening is organized by NOA - the No Ordinary Agency from Zurich - together with the ADC and Persönlich. It will take place on Thursday, June 13 at 6:30 pm in the ADC Gallery, Zentralstrasse 18, 8003 Zurich. Places are limited, admission is free.
