Last but not least: Kummer can't stop
Once a liar, always a liar: For years, Tom Kummer, a Swiss journalist living in Los Angeles, had embellished interviews with made-up passages or simply fabricated entire encounters with celebrities.
Once a fibber, always a fibber: for years, Swiss journalist Tom Kummer, who lives in Los Angeles, embellished interviews with made-up passages or sucked entire encounters with stars out of his fingers. At some point, the bomb burst and Kummer had to fall back on another talent. He became a tennis coach. He also wrote a book about his professional career. His attitude: everyone should have known that his stories were mainly the product of his imagination. Well, you had to give him credit - as you always have - for the fact that his writing was respectable.
Now Kummer is back in the headlines. As the Sonntag newspaper writes, Kummer has once again resorted to tried and tested methods in his Superbowl coverage for the weekly newspaper. According to Sonntag, he played with false figures (fewer TV viewers, less revenue) and let celebrities have their say in his text who were not mentioned anywhere else (Spielberg allegedly said: "It was the best, most emotional football show of all time."). Woz denies that much of Kummer's text is incorrect. Perhaps he really should switch to writing books.
