Last but not least: coffee klatch

Publicis and Nescafé have brought neighbors together across balconies in Italy—to enjoy a cup of coffee.

«It all starts with a Nescafé.» Not just the start of the day for all Nescafé drinkers, but also, for example, a conversation with a neighbor you see every day but don’t really know. The more people who live in a small space, the greater the anonymity often becomes. Perhaps stairwells and elevators aren’t the best places for meaningful encounters. Okay, you do wonder why all these nice people in the example shown didn’t exchange a few words with their equally nice neighbors earlier—especially since the balconies are practically within arm’s reach. In any case, Publicis Milan stepped in and solved the problem—in a beautiful way. It included a call to action on the opposite building’s wall, encouraging people to reach out to the strangers right next door. The bottom line: Nescafé isn’t just good for «instant coffee,» but also for building bridges. (hae)
