Last but not least: Now it's all blown over

When recreational skiers rave to their friends about how fast they carve down the slopes, they can now back it up with a «video of proof.».

On the Riesneralm in the Austrian vacation region of Schladming-Dachstein, skiers are automatically filmed on a race course marked out with gates. The video, including a time display, can then be called up using the ski pass number and immediately sent to friends, relatives and acquaintances via cell phone, YouTube or Facebook. The whole thing is called "Ski Movie" and seems to be a real hit. Whether women or men, young or experienced skiers - the crowds are huge, says Erwin Petz, Managing Director of Bergbahnen Riesneralm. Some tourists even come by just to see the film. And of course, the guests are also providing free advertising for the Austrian ski resort by sending their films all over the world. Social media marketing is alive and well - and Mr. Petz seems to have understood this.
