Last year, "The legendary Duff Beer" was among the most successful new products of the year in Germany. This was announced by Spar and Eurospar in a communiqué on Thursday.
Now this beer is also available in Switzerland, in the range of Spar and Erospar. To promote this in a contemporary way, cardboard figures are currently being used in addition to discounts. However, the Simpsons cardboard figures in the Spar store in Männedorf are not only well received. The Blue Cross finds them extremely questionable. Now, an internal directive has been issued that the alcoholic beer may not be advertised with the children's figures. This was explained to Radio Zürisee by Thomas Weilenmann, CEO of Spargruppe Schweiz. Therefore, the cardboard displays in Männedorf will be removed today. A small step for Spar - a big one for alcohol prevention?
