Last but not least: Counter-publicity to television

85-year-old cabaret artist Dieter Hildebrandt wants to explore new avenues on the Internet. His project, Stoersender.tv, is set to go live in March.

According to Hildebrandt, he wants to create a counter-public to television with the half-hour programs. "I have said goodbye to television," he told the daily newspaper Neues Deutschland, according to SDA. The internet gives him the opportunity to act more freely and independently. "You can see that something is emerging that leaves the beaten track." Together with journalist Stefan Hanitzsch, he has already raised seed capital of 125,000 euros. In addition, colleagues such as Georg Schramm, Frank-Markus Barwasser alias Erwin Pelzig and Gerhard Polt are said to have already pledged their support.

The German comedy scene in a mixture of comedy, corny jokes and criticism, "mature and crazy", will soon no longer have to be laboriously collected on Youtube.com, but can be found with concentrated power on Stoersender.tv. (uma)
